About this home

Built in 1919 and thoughtfully updated to today's modern standards, The Cunningham Cottage pairs historic Pensacola charm with the comforts you actually want: quality mattresses, soft linens, and an easy, uncluttered feel. Three bedrooms and two full baths sleep up to six guests, with in-unit laundry so longer stays stay easy. An electric fireplace anchors the living room, with the canvas-art TV above the mantel. Huge heritage magnolia trees shade the property, and the water is a short walk away — Bayou Chico and the Pensacola Yacht Club are a few minutes up Cypress Street. If you want sand under your feet, Pensacola Beach is a 25-minute drive.

Every bed is made up with a plush mattress pad and quality sheets, and the towels are the fluffy kind — comfort is the whole point here.

Frequently asked questions

House rules for this home

No smoking anywhere
This includes vaping, cannabis, and cigars — inside the home and on any porch, balcony, or shared walkway. Smoke remediation is expensive and it lands on the next guest, so this one is strict.
No parties or events
These are homes in real neighborhoods with real neighbors. No gatherings beyond your registered guests, and no commercial photography or filming without written approval.
Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Downtown is lively, but the blocks are residential. Keep noise inside after 10:00 PM, and keep porches and balconies quiet.
Pets only at The Cessnock Retreat
The Cessnock Retreat is our one pet-friendly home. Every other home is no pets — no dogs, cats, or other animals, and we can't make exceptions for a small dog or a weekend visit. Guests with allergies stay in those homes, and every home is reset between stays. Service animals are always welcome and are never charged.
No candles or open flame
Flameless candles are in the cabinet if you want the mood. Grills, where provided, are the only exception and stay outdoors.
The bedroom fireplace must stay off
The fireplace in the primary bedroom is decorative and is never to be used — the chimney above it is capped, so a fire there has nowhere to vent and would set the house alight. The electric fireplace in the living room is the only one that works, and it is yours to use.
